Climate Change: Science and Solutions
This presentation was given at the Great Plains Conference on Animals and the Environment at Fort Hays State University for Earth Day 2016. The first part of the program presents the evidence
for climate change and explains the urgency for taking action. The second part of the presentation explains the Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s proposal to reduce our carbon emissions below 1990 levels by 2035. The plan, with broad bipartisan support, would place a fee on carbon at the source and allow market forces to encourage reduced emissions, energy conservation and investments in renewable energy.
