George Will attacked John McCain’s climate proposal by claiming: “(the World Meteorological Organization says global temperatures have not risen in a decade)” That quote cannot be found in any of the Organizations reports and is clearly fabricated as their data and NASA’s data shows that the Earth’s temperature has an upward trend during the decade. Burning coal puts mercury into the air where it ends up in our lakes and streams. Using CFL bulbs will reduce energy use and the amount of mercury in fish. We should not forget the other harmful byproducts of energy use in our debate on global warming. Read more
